I love volunteering at the Salvation Army and have done it a few times. It is an easy way to help, only takes a few hours on a Saturday afternoon and I always feel like the work I am doing goes to a great cause. (They do have opportunities for longer term help too.) The work I have done has been as a sorter for goods that are received. It is wonderful to know that everything you are helping them sort is turned into money that helps men and women recover from alcohol and drugs and lead successful lives.

How did the team help you get involved or offer you training?
The team was very welcoming and walked us through everything we needed to do. They also gave us a tour of the facility and helped explain how what we were doing fed back into their programs and services.
