The work was much more physical than I expected, but I enjoyed it immensely. I pulled out non-native invasive plants for approx. 3 hours, learned a lot about native plants, and met some really cool people who were also volunteering that day.

had a wonderful day in Half Moon Bay near the coast! It was a surprise that we would not be picking up trash. However, it was so much more enjoying to work in the dirt and learn about the native plants. The park guides were very informative.

Great experience and can't wait to volunteer again. I was expecting trash pickup but instead was removing plants that are invasive and harm the native wildlife. I saw my work at the end of the day in the pile of weeds I pulled!

This is an active volunteer day, we spent time digging out invasive species, but it is really rewarding and I would go again.
